It’s almost officially Autumn, and I personally can’t wait! In this post, we’ll share with you 5 great craft ideas for Autumn that you can have loads of fun with this cooler season.
Leaves are changing colors and falling from the trees. So why not gather some of these leaves in order to make a beautiful wreath for your door? Craft stores, such as Michaels, sell twine and other useful items for making wreaths, and you can simply glue as many leaves as you like to your wreath for your desired look. One idea? Paint each leaf with Mod Podge and then sprinkle on some glitter before building your wreath. Don’t feel like heading to the craft store? Paper plates with the center removed make great wreath bases as well.
2. Halloween Jars
Have some mason jars lying around? Grab them and a permanent marker or two. Draw a jack o’lantern face, a monster, bats, or anything Halloween-inspired that you would like. Another fantastic idea? Lightly spray paint the jar in a color of your choice (we recommend purple or green) and then once this has dried, draw on your design. Place a tea light candle inside the jar and then light it up. This makes for an excellent spooky decoration!
3. Decorated Pumpkins
Not into the whole carving a pumpkin thing? No problem! There are plenty of other ways that you can decorate a pumpkin. One of my favorite things to do is to liberally spray a pumpkin with spray paint (gold is an awesome Autumn-friendly color), and then either paint on geometric shapes in black paint, such as polka dots and stripes, or even add lettering. Use your decorated pumpkins as an Autumn centerpiece or as an eye-catcher for your front porch.
4. Candy Corn Pine Cones
This one is super cute and makes use of any pine cones that you may have in your yard. I couldn’t find a good photograph of the craft, but what you want to do is paint a pine cone to look like a piece of candy corn – white toward the top, orange in the middle, and then yellow for the bottom. Paint a few pine cones, and then place them in an attractive bowl to serve as a centerpiece for your table.
5. Pumpkin Candy Packaging
Last but not least on our list of great craft ideas for Autumn, we have pumpkin candy packaging! This one is excellent for children. Fold orange craft paper in half, orange side outward. Just a little bit away from the crease, draw out the shape of a pumpkin. Cut this out through both sides of the orange paper, making sure to keep it one piece. Fold this up like you see in the photograph. Add your candy (we recommend a lollipop) and then glue the edges of the pumpkins together to seal it. For a special touch, add a little green ribbon bow.
And there you have it! These 5 craft ideas for Autumn are not only super fun but super easy!
On a side note, I had my little bean a week ago today. This is little Katie!
