Hello everyone! It’s been a while since I’ve posted about jewelry, but today inspiration struck. Lately I’ve been bored with my collection of belly rings, but haven’t gotten around to blazing a trail to the jewelry shop. Then it hit me – rather than spend more money (which is always best saved if craftiness can come into play!) I could simply update a piece I have! Body jewelry is something I haven’t investigated deeply when it comes to handmade accessories, so for my first project I kept it simple.
This particular piece came with a charm attached, so replacing it was really quick and easy. I used a brand new connector since the original began to tarnish. I had a cute little seashell charm that matched the silver bar, and the size was just right.
And just like that, I have a brand new piece of navel-candy! Five minutes of effort and no money spent. And it’s nice to be able modify one I already own as often as I like with different charms.
