DIY Decorative Milk Jars

I wanted to do something easy and fast to help spruce up my bathroom a bit. So I decided something that would be really neat would be to buy some mason jars, some decorations, and then use them to hold a few of my bathroom products. But when I visited my local Michaels, I spotted the milk jars, and decided to give them a shot instead!

Decorative Milk Jars Supplies

I purchased three milk jars, one to be used as a shampoo bottle, one for conditioner, and one to hold body wash. I grabbed some decorative tape and some burlap flowers, and some labels that looked like burlap. Since I was using milk jars, I wanted my finished decorative bottles to have a fresh country look.

I wrapped the tape around the neck of the bottles, and topped two of the three lids with one of the burlap flowers. The third bottle, I decided to glue a flower down on the tape for a little bit of variety.

And here’s how they turned out! I will definitely pick up some more jars in the future and do this again. It was a real fun project, and the supplies were inexpensive. I can see these making cute sugar or flour jars, or even holding spices and other ingredients. The possibilities are endless!

Now, I decided to use these to help organize my bathroom products and give my bathroom area some flair. But I think these jars would make an excellent gift idea. You could buy some jars and decorations, fill them with some candy or bubble bath, and personalize the jar with a label, all without breaking the bank. And I guarantee that the person who receives your gift milk jars will appreciate how you have used your creativity, and enjoy having a cute and useful gift!

Happy crafting everyone!
