MMM, pasta! Wait. No sauce?! I can’t tell you how many times I have looked in the cupboard looking for pasta sauce just to realize that all I have is tomato soup. Well, luckily, there is something that can be done! In this post, we are going to share how to make pasta sauce out of tomato soup. It’s insanely easy, so read on.
Things You’ll Need:
- Tomato soup
- Oregano spice
- Parsley spice
- Garlic salt
Step One: Place your tomato soup in a pot and place your pot on your stove. Add one tablespoon of each of your spices, and 1/2 cup of water. Bring your tomato soup to a boil.
Step Two: Stir, and then bring your tomato soup to a simmer. Leave your pasta sauce at this temperature and stir occasionally until it is warm enough to eat. Then take the pasta sauce off of your stove top and get ready to enjoy some delicious pasta with homemade pasta sauce!
Note: It’s a good idea to be warming up your pasta while you are making your pasta sauce. You want each to be warm and ready to combine when everything is said and done. Also, the spices that we add to the tomato soup are obviously very Italian in nature, but that doesn’t mean that they will appeal to everyone. If you want to omit or substitute any of the ingredients mentioned, feel free. And definitely feel free to add the spices in to taste or more or less than a tablespoon if you decide it doesn’t quite suit your taste as we have listed them.
It’s so helpful to know how to make pasta sauce! Especially if you have plenty of cans of tomato sauce at your disposal. Enjoy!
