I have a bunch of sketchbooks, and most of them are the same plain black color. So to help differentiate my collection, and have a little bit of fun doing so, I picked up some fabric paint and got to work.
I decided I would paint grunge hearts using the purple fabric paint I purchased. To do that, I folded a piece of paper in half and cut half of a heart out. That way, once the paper was opened, I had a heart-shaped stencil.
Then I began to paint! I didn’t worry about being too neat. These are supposed to be grunge hearts after all! And here was my final result:
Now it won’t be too difficult to tell one sketchbook from another. Let me know how you think I did, and what projects you like to use fabric paint for!
