There are lots of crafty things to play with out there, but today I wanted to share with you some projects you can make out of ribbon and lace. Whether you have some extra scraps laying around, or just bought a bunch of pretty new ribbon/lace to create things with, there are tons of things you can whip up. Here we go!
1. Ribbon Rose Bouquet
If you’re planning a wedding and looking to save some money on flowers (or simply want to add some DIY flair to your nuptials), consider making your bouquets out of ribbon roses instead! Not only will you have tons of different colors and designs to choose from, you’ll have a souvenir from your special day that will last forever.
2. Ribbon Bow
Ribbon bows are super simple to make and can be added to clothing, headbands, and lots of other fun stuff. Click here for my tutorial on how to make a bow out of ribbon.
3. Lace Earrings
If you have some sturdy lace with a design you can cut out, consider making a pretty new pair of earrings! You can play around with paints as well, to give your earrings some color.
4. Lace Stencils
If you want the look of lace without using the lace itself, try using the lace as a stencil. Lay it on a table, pillow, or canvas piece and lightly spray paint some color onto the lace. You’ll have a gorgeous design!
5. Lace Detailing on Jeans/Shorts
Got a pair of jeans or shorts you’d like to spruce up? Add some lace on the hemline of your shorts, or if you have a tear in your jeans, turn your jeans inside out and sew some lace over the hole. You’ll give that tear some new dimension!
